My husband was recently on a flight and today we are going to talk about what you can learn from his crazy flight experience. The majority of you have experienced the thrill of taking off in a jet. This process can be very exciting, however, can also be a bit nerve racking.
As the plane took off, the sky was pretty and everything was going as planned. This is just like when you get your first few distributors or sales and life is "smooth sailing" in your new business. The pilot said it was going to be a beautiful day for flying and out of nowhere the plane started to get very bumpy. The turbulence increased as the plane climbed through the clouds. This reminds me of the first thoughts of doubt in a business or when learning something new. You begin to grow skeptical that it can work and start to doubt yourself. Most people make the mistake of seeking their comfort zone rather than embracing the concept of leaving their comfort zone so they can grow. In business, this is a HUGE mistake, and will lead you nowhere in life. As the plane rose higher, the clouds were darker and more dense. This preventing anyone from being able to see out of the window. The level of unknown was high and the passengers were very nervous. This is definitely where the vast majority (90% of those in business who fail) of people would turn around and go home. Then all of a sudden...
The plane climbs out of the clouds and everyone can see a beautiful sky, the most beautiful picture of the sun you can imagine. The plane was flying smooth and a calm and quiet overcomes the cabin.
To me, this is no different than our life or business. To climb to the greatest heights, to see the most beautiful sites, to enjoy the benefits of freedom, takes a significant amount of pain and suffering. You have to face fear head on. When things get tough, you must resist the urge to quite. You have to be persistent and not let those who do not have what it takes, hold you back. You can not listen to the negative broke uncle or brother-in-law, maybe even best friend. You have to BELIEVE that there is a better way, and you have to KNOW that you will not always be able to see everything that gets thrown in your way. You must keep the faith and must keep climbing or you will always be broke and sucked into a life that you NEVER dreamed of living. You might even be living that life now but I promise it does not have to be that way.
Friends, do not give up on your dreams. Having a network marketing system to plug into can save you from failing in network marketing. Join a mentor who is committed to your success. Set your ego aside and admit that you might need a new pilot to get you where you want to go. You might even need a new jet, but do not give up.
